Typography Inspiration

After searching around the internet through what seems like millions of different typefaces, I have found 3 different typefaces that I find quite inspirational.

The typeface below is my favourite and it is called Sansation and was designed by Bernd Montag. What makes it my favourite is the high x height and it is simple and has no serifs, ligatures or finales. It is easily readable, clear and fussy free. A free copy of this is available at http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/Sansation.

I have also chosen a font by WESLO GFx called Demon Breeze. It is a very condensed font and looks a lot like an Avant Garde which was designed by Herb Lubalin and Tom Carnese. You can download WESLO GFx’s type called Demon Breeze from Devian Art on http://weslo11.deviantart.com/art/Demon-Breeze-Font-181142428

One other typeface I liked is a little different to the other two as it has long serifs and ligatures, making the type look a bit fancy; it is called Phaeton and was designed for Umbrella Type by Randy Jones and Kevin Cornell. It is available to purchase on the following link http://marketplace.veer.com/font/phaeton-umt0000447
